Our teachers are experienced, caring and competent educators. Mountain Valley Preschool follows NAEYC's standards for professional development which means that every member of our staff holds a degree in Child Development or is currently in the pursuit of one. All of our staff continues to receive in-service training throughout the year in topics such as Emergency Preparedness, Special Needs and Sensory/Language Development, STEM curriculum and Positive Discipline.
Our curriculum stresses care for the environment, care for self, critical thinking and problem solving, knowledge exploration and curiosity, and social skills. In addition, our school follows kindergarten readiness standards to ensure that each child is prepared to meet the social and academic expectations of elementary school. This includes reading (or pre-reading), writing, and early math.
Our goal at Mountain Valley Preschool is to create a warm, safe and nurturing atmosphere for your child to explore and grow in. We aim to support our families and our community by offering the best care we can by keeping children’s developmental needs at the heart of all of our program designs. We hope you will find our center to be a valuable part of your family’s journey and we appreciate the opportunity to be involved in your child's milestones.
